Hey guys you probably heard there is talk going around of a hack that allows you to talk for free with Zain. I heard about it a few days ago from a friend of mine and I read it now on Frankom's website. http://www.frankom.com/?p=5546Frankom is saying you need an iPhone but when my friends were talking about it they said its with a Nokia. It has nothing to do with Skype, its about a flaw in the Zain sim cards which the hack exploits.

it has nothing to do with Zain or with iphone. It is a Sim card hacking! There are plenty of posts on internet .. This is a very interesting and educational video http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video ... ds-259551/and that method of hacking does not work with the new type of sim cards but that is what behind it in concept.

Zain got the V2 type. if your sim card phone book capacity is more than 250 entries then most likely are the new one V2 SIM cards and these are very well encrypted and no hack is available yet (I guess). Also if your sim card was issued anytime before JUNE 2002 then most likely are V1 SIM cards and you can hack it but I don't think anyone in Kuwait still have these.

I am still using the sim card issued to me in 1997.
When I had troubles with 3G, I called Zain support and specifically asked them if the problem is due to my old card (because someone on the forum mentioned this).
They said no and sent me the setup file again and 3G started working fine.
