Hello all, Im a B-I-G fan of drifting. So anyway I want a RC car with the following features: - The model of the rc car should resemble a tuner type like a Mazda RX-7 or a Nissan Skyline or any other tuner type looking car. - It should be able to drift smoothly (I want it to do long drifts) - It should have enough power (I want it to be fast too) - It should be a normal scale model. - It should be cheap. If anyone is selling a rc car with the following feature please pm me. Or if you know a place where they sell rc cars that drift then please tell me. Any help is appreciated!

I really would like a pre-built car ready to go with all bits required :/ If you find the initials XB in the model name that means its expert built.. i.e they build/paint it and get it all ready for you at the factory. You would just need to provide the battery and battery charger.

There are many hobby shops here as others motioned, just go and find the one you like. I personally prefer 1/10th electric cars specially Tamiya. Any 1/10th touring car can be tuned to drift handling by adjusting the suspensions, drive train, changing tires, etc. If you don’t have experience just add a D-Box which will make drift easy for you, once you gain full control, you can remove it.
If this is your first R/C car, then start with brushless motor/ESC, Li-po pack/charger and SS radio.

Brushless doesn't necessarily means fast, just means its less of a headache and more reliable. Also suggesting LiPo is good because prices have come down and since the guy is starting from zero might as well get the good stuff now instead of realizing later what he should have gotten.

The motor: Brushless motors (synchronous 3-phase AC motors, along with microprocessor controlled variable speed drive) are more efficient (more run time, less heat) than the DC brushed motor because of many technical factors. Also requires less maintenance because of the closed type and no-brush design. Also most of today’s ESCs can handle different of input voltages, plus most of them are fully programmable. Thus you can run it fast or very slow (think crawlers) as you like for a long time without stops. Battery: Lipo battery have more power intensity/capacity compared to all types of batteries, in other words, you can have hi-voltage and/or hi-capacity without being big or heavy. Also the internal resistance is low allowing higher current draw thus more motor torque. Radio: why asking about frequency and channels/bands? Why carrying crystals? Why the fear of interference? Why changing the battery frequently? Why having two long antennas?..... No need to think of these if you have spread spectrum radio. So for a beginner he should not look back at old systems, for us, we need something that is backward compatible. It’s not just speed and power, its reliability and practicality.
